Year-in-review film, comprehensive signage and environmental graphics for UK's leading construction training company.

The Skills Centre is an employer-focused training provider that connects local people to opportunities in the construction industry across multiple regional sites in the United Kingdom. Kinetier designed a year-in-review film to highlight the organization's accomplishments as well as other collateral for the brand including but not limited to; print and digital communication materials for launch events and workshops. The brief required work that would communicate impact clearly to recruits and partners, unify activity across different locations, and provide attractive, practical assets that could be deployed quickly in the field.

Kinetier's approach took The Skills Centre’s outcomes-led mission as its starting point and translated that into a bold visual system that reads confidently at scale and in motion. The recap video was conceived not as a chronological slideshow but as a navigable highlight reel of the year that stitches together milestone moments into a single, shareable narrative.

We led with short scenes highlighting key statistical achievements to allow viewers to catch the numbers that matter, while footage from on and off site provided the evidence of impact. The footage was edited to maintain consistent lower-thirds to identify people and places, and a restrained typographic treatment that echoes The Skills Centre’s existing mark so the film reads as part of a larger brand conversation.

The event collateral extended the same system into print and large format. Flyers were laid out with a modular grid so content could be swapped for different workshop topics without reworking the structure. Banners and roll-up stands were designed to perform in busy, mixed environments like; registration tables, trade-style marquees, and entrance façades, so hierarchy and legibility were paramount. Type treatments, and a compact set of custom iconography were applied consistently across all formats so a viewer could instantly recognise a Skills Centre asset from a distance or in a cluttered event space.

Together the film, event collateral and brand items created a consistent, practical brand experience that amplified The Skills Centre’s achievements and made their activity easier to communicate to learners and funders. The recap video distilled 2024 into a single narrative that could be shown at partner briefings and shared across digital channels; the event collateral improved on-the-day clarity and professionalism at launches and workshops. The work balanced storytelling and utility — designed to be seen, understood, and used across the varied environments where The Skills Centre operates.
